Some Recruiters
Some recruiters will go out of their way to find you a job, and I need one of them.
Putting my illustration and digital art skills into work, I can create high-quality artworks and concepts for different causes and businesses. In addition to my expertise in a variety of projects from personal art commissions to advertising campaigns all the way up through TV production; not only do I have a diverse-style portfolio but also an expansive tendency when it comes to enabling others (call it knowledge sharing.)
I have a true passion for teaching art and my region (MENA) needs this. I do already teach digital art and illustration privately for individuals, online and offline, but I want to take this endeavor into the next level. I want to empower a generation with a passion for art through my courses, and I'm working to achieve that target.
I want to share with children (young or old) the beauty of digital painting, illustration skills as well as other topics like 2D/3D art making, visual storytelling techniques, children's book illustration principles, problem solving, creative thinking, and I want to learn as I teach them VR painting that goes inside their heads!
Beside my life as a freelance illustrator, I am a senior engineer with wide experience in the telecommunications industry, and I wish to bring my two worlds together. I have managed projects, teams and worked for over a decade in a very challenging environment, supporting operations and rollout projects in many Middle Eastern countries. I can bring to the teams I join the best of the 2 worlds in an approach that's results-oriented, creative and fun-driven.
This is the potential I carry and like to show to my patrons and recruiters when we discuss a project or a job.
And Some Recruiters
And some recruiters are awesome!
This tweet is based on an actual story. The recruiter reached me out for an art commission, but their budget was far below my rate for a buy-out project. So they wanted to hire me permanently and their rate, again, was also below what I believe my art and management skills deserve, so we called it quits after a short conversation.
Now I'm happy they sent me an official feedback by email, but it would have been better if they didn't use that template. I couldn't help but smile as I read the email a second time.
Job applicants are expected to customize their applications for different jobs. As such, recruiters should not use the same words in all rejections.
