You are Good Enough

Hello! It's such a joy to announce that Yak, You are Good Enough is out now! It is the second book that I illustrated for Slumberkins, and it's about helping children accept themselves, no matter what.

Each time I finish a project I feel like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders and I am so inspired to start something new... but before I get ahead of myself, let me share with you an inside look.

Yak, the star of the book, is an icon of self-discovery and acceptance. Whenever the world pressures the children to change their personality to be good enough, he teaches them (and us) how to cope with their emotions.

In participating in this book, I hope kids will learn not to be hard on themselves, but rather to accept and appreciate themselves for who they are. For someone who strives for perfection, the book is a reminder that none of us are perfect, and that's something we should simply accept.
